Mention has specific writing rules that apply to Basic, Standard, and Advanced Alerts! Please make sure that your keyword searches are configured correctly using these rules in order to avoid missed mentions!

You can view the writing rules below:

Space-Sensitive

Spacing is important in Mention! You must make sure that your keyword searches are configured correctly if you are monitoring a phrase. Please make sure you include both phrases if you want to monitor them.

"Coca Cola" and "CocaCola" will not provide you the same results in your search!

Accent-Sensitive

Mention's monitoring system also takes into account accents in your search. If your search term or phrase includes an accent, you must include both in order to ensure that your monitoring will fetch all relevant content.

“Cóca Còla” and “Coca Cola” will not provide you the same results

Case-Sensitive

Mention is not case-sensitive! You do not need to capitalize your search terms because we will fetch content regardless if they are upper-case or lower-case.

"Coca Cola" and "coca cola" will provide you the same results in your search!

We hope that this information ensures that your keyword searches are configured correctly!
