This article explains how to edit and filter Mention Data Reports available on the Company Plan, including how to use Edit Mode, adjust modules, edit filters, and change the time scale on time-based charts.

Overview of Report Editing on the Company Plan

Mention’s Data Reports show key metrics over a fixed time period. The Company Plan includes three pre-made reports—Listening, Comparative, and Mention List—plus the Custom Report, which you build manually but can edit using the same tools.

On the Company Plan, you can edit:

  • Visualizations

  • Time period

  • Filters

  • Module configurations

You may edit reports before creation (during setup) and after creation (via Edit Mode).

Access: Both Admins and Users with access can edit or delete reports.

How to Enter Edit Mode

Editing Before Creating a Report

Before generating a report, you can configure:

  • Filters

  • Time period

These initial settings remain editable later.

Editing After a Report Is Created

Use the Edit Mode button in the upper-right corner of the report page.

You can also quickly edit a specific module by clicking the edit icon inside that module.

Once all changes are made, click Save to update your report.

Adjusting Reports in Edit Mode

In Edit Mode, you can make structural and data-level adjustments:

  • Reorder graphs

  • Duplicate modules

  • Delete modules

  • Edit module segmentation

  • Change visualization type

  • Adjust module size

  • Change or add alerts to a graph

  • Modify filters for each module

Editing Filters for All Modules

Click Select All (top-right) to apply filter updates to every module in the report.

Using Chart Interval in Reports

  1. Go to your Reports page.

  2. Select a report containing a time-based chart.

  3. Click the time-based chart you want to adjust.

  4. Click Edit, then open the Filters panel.

  5. Choose Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.

Using Chart Interval in QuickCharts

  1. Open your QuickChart page.

  2. Select the relevant Alert.

  3. Choose the Segment you want to display.

  4. Open a time-based chart (e.g., Line Chart).

  5. Adjust the interval from the Filters panel.

This feature helps you visualize trends at the frequency that best suits your analysis needs.
