When composing a post on your Calendar you might want to include an @mention for accounts or business pages. Within Publish, you can utilize the @mention feature for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. In this article, we will show you how to. conduct this process. Here are the type of accounts and pages you can @mention for each social account in Publish:
Facebook: you can @mention Facebook Pages
Instagram: you can @mention any Instagram account
Twitter: you can @mention any Twitter account
LinkedIn: you can @mention any LinkedIn Company or School Page
❗️If you are @mentioning an account on Mention, the Copy Content feature will be disabled in your composer. This is done to ensure that you do not mis-tag an account on social media. An account on one platform may have a different name on the other. Learn more here.
You have the option of @mentioning Facebook Pages in your posts on the Calendar. To @mention a page, please follow these steps:
Open the Composer by clicking on a time slot on the Calendar or using the 'Compose new post' button.
Choose a connected Facebook Business Page to begin creating a post.
Next, type "@" and write the name of the account. Mention will recognize your text and suggest accounts that you can @mention using a drop-down menu
Please select the account that you want to mention from the menu. You are all set!
💡Tip: To ensure that you can find the correct page from the drop-down menu, please use the same username that appears on the Facebook Profile's URL. For example, Mention's URL on Facebook is facebook.com/mentionapp so we would type @mentionapp in the Calendar to @mention our page.
On Publish, you have the option of @mentioning any Twitter account as long as you know the account's @handle name! Please follow the steps below to begin this process:
Open the Composer by clicking on a time slot on the Calendar or using the 'Compose new post' button.
Choose a connected Twitter account to begin creating a tweet.
Next, type "@" and write the handle of the account. Mention will recognize your text and suggest accounts that you can mention using a drop-down menu
Please select the account that you want to @mention from the menu. You are all set!
You can @mention any account on Instagram using the @handle name of the profile. Please follow these steps to @mention an account on Instagram:
Please open the Composer by clicking on a time slot on the Calendar or using the 'Compose new post' button.
Choose a connected Instagram account and begin writing your post.
Next, type "@" and please write the name of the handle in the same format that it appears on Instagram.
Once your caption is ready, please schedule your post! The account will automatically @mentioned on Instagram's native platform when your post is published.
You can @mention LinkedIn Company pages or School pages at any time using the URL of the page. Please follow these steps to @mention an account on LinkedIn:
First you will need to go to the LinkedIn platform and find the page you want to @mention. Please copy the URL of the page.
Next, go back to Mention and open the Composer by clicking on a time slot on the Calendar or using 'Compose new post' button.

Next, please write @ and paste the URL of the page onto your composer.
From there, a drop-down menu will appear with the page that you are mentioning. Please click on the page to confirm. You're all set from there!
