Answering your community is not as easy as it seems. Especially when you start to handle a lot of social activity on a daily basis. Sometimes, it’s better to delegate certain topics to a team member or expert. 

That’s why we created the assignment feature. When you receive a new conversation, it is by default “unassigned”. All you have to do is to click on the “Assignment” dropdown at the top of the conversation and click on your team member that should handle the conversation!

Please note that you need to share your social account with your team member(s) in Respond in order to assign them conversations.

Once the conversation is assigned, the assignee will receive an email and browser notification to make sure that he is aware of the assignment. They will then receive all future notifications related to this conversation, such as new messages. 

Finally, the list of conversations adapts itself to the filters on top of the list. You can thus filter the conversations by assignment in order to deal in priority with the open conversations that you’ve been assigned!
