Review & Manage your Mention Subscription

Learn how to access your invoices, modify payment, and adjust billing

Once you purchase your Mention subscription, you will be able to fully access the Subscription tab in your Settings page. In this area, you can conduct the following actions:

In this article, we will go over information about Mention subscriptions and provide you details on the Subscription page in Account Settings


Understand your Subscription Settings Page

If you would like to review your active subscription or modify any aspects of your billing information, you can head over to the Subscription tab in your Settings page.

In the next section of this article, we will the layout of the Subscription tab.

Review your Subscription Details & Modify Your Plan

On your subscription page, you'll find the following details:

  • Plan Name: The name of your current subscription plan.

  • Billing Frequency: Whether you are billed monthly, yearly, etc.

  • Subscription Renewal Date: The date when your subscription will renew.

  • Next Invoice Date: The date of your upcoming invoice.

  • Next Invoice Amount: The amount due for your next invoice.

If you are on a trial plan, the end date of your trial will be displayed.

If your subscription is pending cancellation, the end date of your current subscription will be shown.

The Subscription section gives you the option to modify your plan if you desire to change subscriptions or cancel your plan.

❗️If you have a Company Account, please contact your Account Manager for any requests to change subscription.

Viewing Quota and Plan Details

In the Subscription Page, the different quota available in your Plan are displayed

You have the possibility to check your Plan details by clicking on the "here" CTA. You will be redirected to the pricing page, where you'll have access to all the key information about your plan and the others.

Modify your Billing Details

❗️ Billing Modifications

  • If you need modifications made to a past or future invoice, please contact [email protected].

  • If you would like to add or change a VAT number to your billing information, please share the VAT number to [email protected] and we will add it to your account.

Modify your Card Details

When you subscribe to a Mention plan using a credit or debit card, your card details will appear in the Payment Method section. You have the option of adding new credit cards and removing old cards for your subscription in this area of your Subscription page.

  • To add a new card, simply click on the 'add a new card' button on the page and fill in your card details. If you would like to make your new card the default card for your account, please hover over the new card and use the button to 'Mark as Default'.

  • To remove a card, please hover over the card you do not want to keep on file and click on the trash bin icon that appears. This button will allow you to remove the card on file.

❗️There must always be a card on file for your subscription. If you want to remove any old cards, you must add the new one first! If you attempt to remove a credit card without having a replacement, you will receive an error on your account.

Review your Previous Invoices

For information about your previous charges, you can access the Invoice History section. This section will list all of the invoices sent to your account from your subscriptions. You have the option of downloading the invoice in PDF format for your own storage.

If you are reviewing an invoice and realize that you need to make modifications on it, please contact [email protected]! Our team can assist with invoice changes such as billing information and VAT adjustments.

❗️At this time, Mention does not email invoices to clients when charges are made. All invoices are available in this section of the platform.


What To Do If Your Payment Fails

We've enhanced our payment update and retry process to make managing billing easier and more transparent. These improvements are available to all Mention users with active accounts on credit card-based plans. Note that these updates don’t apply to users paying via bank transfer.

What happens when my payment fails?

  1. Automated Payment Notifications
    Based on your payment status, you'll receive emails reminding you to update your payment details or retry failed payments.

  2. Retry Payment Button
    If your payment fails, you’ll find a "Retry Payment" button on your Billing Settings page. Clicking this button will initiate an automatic attempt to process your payment.

  3. Automatic Payment Collection
    When you update your credit card details, the system will automatically retry the payment using the new information without additional steps.

  4. Clear Error Messaging
    Should your payment fail, the exact reason (e.g., insufficient funds) will now be displayed directly in the app, helping you understand the issue and take corrective action.

    Mention will try to collect payment for 12 consecutive days. After that time, the subscription will automatically cancel.
