Within your Content Calendar, Mention will provide you a view of your posts that are live on social media. Along with a view of your posts, Mention will provide your team with analytic insights for the performance of each individual post! This is a great way to gauge the performance of your content across social media and determine strategies for upcoming posts:

In this article, we will provide you with the steps to find Post Analytics and share the metrics that Mention will fetch for each post. Here is an overview of the article:

View Published Posts on the Calendar

The Calendar will display all of your published and scheduled posts that were created using Publish. You can use the Calendar to review posts as well as edit or delete content.

⚙️ When you first connect a social account to Mention, your Content Calendar will retrieve up to 7 days of historical posts from your social media account. Afterwards, Mention will only display posts that are scheduled or published through the Content Calendar. If you post content through a social media platform, it will not appear on your Calendar.

To verify if your post is published , you can check the Calendar or Post Preview:

--

Calendar:

On your Calendar, you will see posts highlighted in two colors:

  • Grey posts on the Calendar signify that the post has been published and is live on social media.

  • White posts on the Calendar signify that your post is scheduled to publish at a future date.

--

Post-Preview:

If you open the preview panel, Mention will also display if your post is Published or Scheduled:

Access Post Analytics on Published Posts

Within each published post, Mention will also provide the option to view Post Analytics at any time. To view analytics, please follow these steps:

  • Open the preview panel for a published post

  • Hover over the 'Post Analytics' menu

  • Click on the drop-down menu to view the analytics

⚙️ Post analytics will begin to show on your posts within 1 - 1.5 hours after the post is published. Afterwards, your analytics will refresh every 24 hours with new metrics.

After a full day, Mention will compare the performance of your post from the previous day and the current day on Publish. This analytic variation will be displayed next to the metric and will display a positive trend in green or negative trend in red:
