We are excited to introduce a new feature designed to enhance your social listening experience: the Alert Overview. This feature is now the landing page of your feed and provides a comprehensive view of your key performance indicators (KPIs) along with a daily alert summary.

Purpose

The Alert Overview provides a snapshot of your main KPIs and a summary of alerts from the previous day. This enables you to quickly assess the performance and sentiment of your mentions.

The Alert Summary is an AI-driven feature that highlights key topics and provides a general summary of the mentions from the day before. This helps you stay informed about the most relevant discussions and trends.

How It Works

  1. Accessing the Feature:

    • When you access the Feed, you will land on the Alert Overview page.

    • To view all of your mentions individually, click on the "View all mentions" button available from the "Last mentions" card or the top bar.

  2. Daily Summaries:

    • Summaries and topics are generated daily at 3 AM UTC based on the last 1000 mentions from the previous day (12 AM to 11:59 PM UTC).

    • These summaries use the description and title fields of each mention to generate a concise overview of key topics.

  3. Custom Date Selection:

    • You can select a specific date to view the overview and summaries for that day.

    • Basic KPIs (volume, reach, sentiment) are shown based on the selected date in your timezone, while summaries are generated based on UTC time.

⚠️ Limitations

  1. Tiered Access:

    • All users can access the Alert Overview, but the Alert Summary is available only for free trial users and company plans.

  2. Date and Time Confusion:

    • Users might see discrepancies between the mentions used for summaries and those visible in the inbox due to the use of UTC time for summaries and local time for KPIs.

  3. Daily Basis Only:

    • The feature currently supports daily summaries. Summaries for other periods can be generated manually by our support team from the back office.

  4. Error Handling:

    • If there are no mentions, or if there is an error during summary generation, users will see an empty summary or a "no summary generated yet" error.

    • In case of errors, Account Managers or support can manually generate summaries and topics from the back office.

Using the Feature

  1. Initial Setup:

    • When creating a new alert, you will be directed to your inbox to avoid landing on a page with no data.

    • If you have access to the Alert Summary, the system will wait for the first generation of the summary before redirecting you to the overview.

  2. Viewing Summaries:

    • Summaries and topics are automatically updated each day.

To view the mentions you recieved that are related to each related topic, you can click on the View Mentions button.

This update makes it simpler to track mentions connected to specific topics.

Setting Alert Overview as Non-Default

You have the option to not set the Alert Overview as your default view if you prefer not to see a comprehensive overview of all your alerts each time you log in. In this case, your Inbox will be your alert landing page.

  • To not set as Default: toggle OFF the option

  • To set as Default: toggle ON the option

If you want to explore your mentions in more detail before viewing the overview, simply leave this option toggled off.

You can still access the Alert Overview at any time from within your alert.

This customization allows you to tailor your Mention experience according to your specific needs and preferences.
