What is QuickChart?
QuickChart (previously Insights Center) is the place to generate data graphs within Mention. It enables you to create new visualizations while providing you with filters and cross-alert analysis options.
How to use QuickChart
To begin using QuickChart, you can follow these steps:
1. Choose your Alert
On the top of the page, you will see a search bar. Once you click on this search bar, you will see a drop-down menu of the alerts you have access to in your account first! You can choose one or multiple alerts to view and compare!
2. Define your KPI & Visualization
Once your alerts are chosen, you can define the KPI and visualization you want to display your data with. Your KPI options include:
Volume: the number of mentions for one or multiple alerts.
Sources: a breakdown of the sources your mentions were fetched from.
Languages: the different languages of your mentions.
Countries: the breakdown of countries that your mentions come from.
Days of Activity: mention volume broken down by specific days.
Sentiment: mentions categorized by sentiment of Positive, Neutral, or Negative.
Reach: the estimated amount of users who potentially saw the mention.
Influence: Mention's scoring system used to identify data with higher importance.
Emotion: More complex sentiment analysis by specific emotions.
Topics: trend of commonly used keywords found in your mentions for your alert.
Tags: breakdown of the tags created for your alert. This is based on your Tag Settings that you created in your alert.
Time of Activity: mention volume broken down by timeframes of 6 hour increments.
Mentions: view a list of mentions similar to your Mention Feed
3. Select the Time Period
The time period can be customized according to the data available in your Alert. If your alert does not have data for specific time periods in the past, we cannot produce graphs. On the QuickChart, you will find the time period filter below the search bar.
4. Apply your filters
Make sure to use the filters on the right side of your QuickChart to create specific visualizations.
The available filters depend on the visualizations you create and the configurations of the alerts you are reviewing.
The line graph below your main visualization corresponds to volume of mentions without the filters you are applying.
5. Download your Graph
You have the possibility to download the graph in PNG format, or add it to your Reports. To do so, please go to the top right-hand side of your page and click on the export button for downloads or the Share button to add it to a report.
How to Use Filters in QuickChart
The Filters options within the QuickChart will be the same as the ones available in the Reports section.
They will be available for all the KPIs and all the visualizations you can select in QuickChart. Here is a breakdown of your filters.
Please note that if you are not monitoring a specific source, you will not see their checkbox in your options.
Filtering by Sources can help you understand if the Volume or the Sentiment of your conversations changes drastically depending on the channel you look at.
Choosing the Time Interval allows you to compare different periods of data against each other (week to week, day to day, or month to month)
If you are dealing with different markets, filtering by Languages or Countries can be helpful to identify differences and optimizations in the way you address them.
Tags are a great way to access a sharper analysis, whether it is about your campaigns, your products, or just parts of your business you want to be keeping track of. Make sure to check our article about Tag Settings to learn more about them!
The Search bar is useful to filter down the conversations around some topics : "Topic 1" OR "Topic 2".
If you choose to filter by Sentiment, you'll be able to see easily your ambassadors or detractors.
βThe Status enables you to filter according to the mentions you put in favorites or the unread ones.
Finally, you can filter down the graphs according to the Influencer Score of the source.
You can also switch between Daily, Weekly, and Monthly scales on all time-based charts in both QuickCharts and Reports, giving you greater flexibility in how you view your data over time.
Go to your QuickChart page.
Select the relevant Alert.
Choose a Segment to display.
Select a time-based chart (such as a Line Chart).
Change the time interval through the Filters panel, selecting between Daily, Weekly, or Monthly views.
This feature allows for better customization and insight into your data trends, making it easy to analyze the data frequency that best suits your needs.
